START THE WEEK WITH THE HAMPSTEAD COLLECTIVE
Musical Sanctuaries of Bach Cantatas, Handel Large-Scale Works, Sacred Meditations, and Song
Every Monday at 7pm Live from Hampstead Parish Church, London
The Hampstead Collective has been formed in response to the devastating effect of the global pandemic on the arts in general and church music in particular. We aim to bring music back into Hampstead Parish Church and, in addition, to support musicians – both those in the Collective and our collaborators – during this time of immense financial insecurity.
As a Collective, the singers and organists of Hampstead Parish Church have come together, on equal footing, to present an innovative programme of concerts, curated to demonstrate both our connection to the church and our distinct musical voices.
Fundamental to the structuring of the series is an inbuilt flexibility, allowing us to livestream all concerts as well as to start introducing live audiences in immediate and direct response to developing government guidelines.
All seventeen concerts in our autumn 'Start the Week' series will be streamed live free of charge on our YouTube Channel (embedded below or available here) and our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/thehampsteadcollective/. We will also be admitting a limited, socially-distanced audience to our events. Book early via the Eventbrite link for each event to avoid disappointment.
We're a friendly bunch, and if you like what you hear, please consider befriending us! As 'Friend of the Collective', you'll gain access to exclusive digital content, as well as helping us in our future Collective endeavours.
We look forward to starting the week with you.
